We’re IGN, and we have a problem. We’re undeniably addicted to Animal Crossing: New Leaf.

in theory it’s the ideal experience to just pick up and play for 30 minutes. Theoretically you could just jump on in, dig up some fossils, water some flowers, and pop back out. Yet that’s not at all what I end up doing. I was shocked to look at my 3DS Activity Log recently and find that my average play time is actually more than four hours. But what really made my jaw hit the floor was when I glanced at my total playtime – 135 hours, as of today (which is exactly three weeks from when I first downloaded the game).

This is where I would call home. I started with a tent and a lantern and a few bucks in my pocket.

Weeks later, I sauntered ...through the door of my mansion. My tent was no more. My lantern lit nights were but a flickering memory. I had made it. I was finally home. And I was a king.

the new mayor duties are brilliant – instead of only your house feeling like it’s yours, the entire town does. The customization is on a whole new level. I’m starting to realize that this may be the best entry in the franchise yet.

New Leaf has actually surprised me with its multiplayer, or really just "social," options. I visit Brian, Andrew or Audrey's towns regularly to sightsee, wreck up the place, trade and take advantage of their crazy time traveling.

to be brief, theres some psychology game designers need to consider when making games. animal crossing basically nails it from that standpoint

you can download dolphin emulator and play the gamecube version. its dope but a really outdated way to play it (no online etc)

I still play the one I got for DS.

I'm a billionaire though. My house is stacked.

It's a pretty relaxing, slice of life game. I like it.

in the fish part as im walking around i hear "plink" "plink", cant figure out what it is

finally i just stop when i hear it, look to the left a bit and notice the piranha is trying to attack me through the glass
