Is there a way that will make it so that you don't see the posts of a user on the ignore list when someone else quotes that user?

theres no way to add this unfortunately, no one has ever created a plugin for that

now coli kings, i've only had maybe one person on my ignore list in my many sad years of being on message boards. they dont matter much to me tho because i can ignore posts myself without needing something to do it for me

the problem comes with the thread titles. cuz that where the real annoyance comes in at. i can ignore poster f in poster a's thread. but i cant ignore poster f's thread title, especially since i dont know its poster f until i read how fukking stupid it is


this is real fukkin trivial. and i'd understand if it was ignored. but i've seen yall do some nice ass shyt on this board, anyway to work this out?

What exactly happens when you add someone to your "Ignore list"? Do you just stop seeing his/her posts? And what if someone who isn't on your ignore list quotes someone who is, do you see the quote or not? Just curious really

im not sure about the notifications but it will hide posts from whoever you ignored

Meaning is there anyway if I put someone on my ignore list and they not have the ability to quote me. If this is not a feature I would like to recommend it.

I dont appreciate being harassed by people I have on my ignore list and they keep quoting me. Knowing full well I cant read it .

I've seen a few other forums with this, it helps some with derailment because butt buddies won't take threads the other person makes off topic as often.....I don't even know if it's possible on a vbullentin forum but just an idea

Yes. It should ban people from posting in your threads and ban people from seeing your posts.

The way I've seen it implemented the best, it stops the user from posting in your threads, quoting you in any thread, even mentioning your username in tags. Also it completely erases that users activity from the forum, no *this user is ignored* notifications it just completely hides everything they do from view
