The world was a lot smaller when Illmatic came out and exposure wasn't what it was. Don't really see the connection, you'd have to adjust that number up to what that would be in 2012.

Ultimatley even that album went from 59k to gold in 8 months and eventually helped his next album go triple plat 2 years later. That record grew organically.

Now Keef is gonna do that because the market is different, they aint enough units pressed and stores out. But he could build a movment still...or this could be the last we hear of him.
