You can mess up in your 20s sure but some things are Much harder to recover from and some things will change the trajectory of your whole life..past high school every decision a man makes is type critical if you really think about it

Work hard and play hard in your 20s that way your 30s is easy and your 40s+ is a lavish breeze.
For everyday you don't work in your 20s is another day working past 65.

Do both. Graduate college at 21, use every penny to pay off that student loan + debt free and then travel while in your 20s.

It's obviously not smart but you can "afford it" much more than scrambling in your 30s.
