Damn these comments are a bit weird. Maybe some outside , non-IT breh perspective is needed:

You don’t teach a young kid Spanish to become a Spanish teacher. Kids dont train classical music to join an orchestra. You’re giving them outside experiences/perspectives.

A kid who’s learning to code on his own time is learning how to learn. It’s gonna spark other interests and skills. It’s gonna make schoolwork seem easier, better grades, smarter kid, etc etc.

And THEN it’s a tangible skill, at least a foundation and intro to the IT world
, and he’ll decide if he wants to delve into other IT channels

People commenting like ‘that’s stupid, he can’t get a job with that’. No shyt, he’s 8 :gucci:

This is a weird misdirection of an article.
Learning to code at a young age will help kids naturally learn how to problem solve.
Its not like coding and problem solving are mutually exclusive
