Why not just do what your contractually obligated to do (be a groomsman in the wedding) where no one is allowed to talk to you anyways, and then bounce right after eating at the reception so you don’t have to do any of that phony ass small talk with anyone? You’re there for the pictures and his memories but nobody is going to fault you for eating and running if you don’t have a date locked down and your ex will be all in your shyt.
