Some women would rather blame their constant rejections on skintone as opposed to the very obvious reason.

:francis:

For better or worse social interactions tend to differ between genders. Women refuse to acknowledge or are oblivious to where they stand as far as looks because they don’t grow up with their buddies joking about how ugly they are. nikkax typically can’t outrun that though :russ:

I literally had the same thought just now. She’s not grotesque but a big juicy ass would make a world of difference

for every breh in here clowning her, she's not that bad. and a number of things can be true at once.
-she does not have what would be considered attractive features.
- toronto with all its first gen immigrants can be anti-black.
- she was fetishized in europe.

if we were to say that she was fetishized in europe, it validates toronto being anti-black, and it validates many of us fetishizing features, because both became barriers preventing men from even approaching her to smash in toronto, but weren't barriers preventing men from approaching her to smash in europe. and if the former was not the case in toronto, she would have mentioned it.

brehs can be honest. we're fine with dark skin women as long as they have the right features. we fetishize features. we fetishize skin tone. in some places they do both. in some places they do the opposite. it is what it is.

i know she's an athlete but based off of the criticism in this thread, she would probably have a little more success if she put on makeup, got a nose job, and....... my only issue -get a damn perm (the braided weave is not and has never been the business).

It's not about skintone. It's about "other things" :patrice: For example, Aunt Viv and Hilary are sexy af to me.

With that said, I do want to tread very carefully here because I can also see the argument of people being biased against prototypical African features.

Darker skin, African features
