I'm primarily lookin at a '09/'10 maxima or maybe a fully equipped 09-11 altima.
I'm goin to a Nissan certified dealer.
I already got my preapproved loan from my credit union
My down payment on my debit card

I was lookin at their inventory online and the cars look good with good mileage on it and its at the price range i want:lawd:

I'm 22 black male. I'm driving my old ass honda up there but i ain't trading it in:nah: thats my ride or die

any last minute advice or words of wisdom?

If you are preapproved don't tell them that. Go in there and tell them around what you are willing to spend. Theyre going to try and finance you for more so they can make there fees. How did your preapproval work. Did they give you a blank check? I just bought a car on saturday and they'll do what ever they can to go through there banks.

Know the market value so you can counter their price on the fly by comparing to other ads. Don't throw out lowball/unrealistic numbers if you want to seriously negotiate.

Be willing to get up and walk away if it doesn't feel right. Take their business card regardless and offer your info for when they are willing to sell the car at a price that you think is fair (difference between the price you want and a price that is fair.)

Ask for a test drive, and don't let them con you into putting down a deposit in order to do so.

By "Nissan certified" do you mean an actual Nissan dealership? If so, the experience should be alot better/smoother than your typical private used car dealership.

Good since you been doin your research do summore and head to Kbb.com or edmunds.com and look up the car you feeling and see wha the tru value of that whip. Wha does is the value if U were to trade it in. Start from that price f wha they ticket price or the deal they gonna offer you. They give you shyt bring up "You know got damn well if i drove up in here with that whip @ that milage you wouldnt give me more than <insert 1k less than value here>

Dont tell em wha u wanna pay or wha your loan is keep that shyt to yourself they ask tell em you got an idea and change the subject. Keep the convo on the price and the price alone

Be prepared to bounce if they giving you drama. Why dont you fill out a application? F u im out

Make em have to bring in the second dude to close you and still be ready to bounce

Additionally if you have a preapproved loan keep that down payment and dont let em try to con you out of 1. When you get to the price you want THEN and only THEN hit em with oh yeah i got my own financing :myman:

Happy hunting

:nah:
nikkas know the price drop as soon as u drive it off the lot

That's the typical smart dumb nikka mindset, a lot of plea ole don't buy new for that reason. The quality you'll get buying new>>

You buy a used car then you got to fix shyt in the next year consistently until you sell it for 1k, the new car most the time has minimum work done on it until 3-4 years down the road. That's my experience. You don't know how the owner was driving the used car before you, sure it's dealer certified but so are refurbished electronics, but you don't see nikkas saying "nah pah, let me get that refurb one." :stopitslime: but do your thing, I was just giving you my opinion

My advice... don't go to a dealership, get a car from a private sale. You'll save thousands on taxes and fees, and it'll be much faster.
