I never been big on X like that; with that said, I like some of his music and I get and understand his appeal
But where do y'all rank DMX as an MC? :jbhmm:

He's dope as an MC. I feel like his greatest strength was his delivery/mic presence and overall charisma. He was a nice songwriter as well. I just never saw him as a Rakim, Biggie, Pac, Jay, Nas etc. caliber MC. He's around Top 25 for me.

I feel that and can agree with this :obama:

Besides the words one spits MC means move the crowd and X ain't never lost that ability

Yeah, I agree. I feel like the words themselves can move the crowd too when they are thought provoking and creative. I find that to be as equally moving. Not saying that DMX couldn't take it there. I just feel like there's more MC's who offered a little more as MC's.

The only thing that irks me is how when they talk about X they say he was the only one who brought the streets back...Yeah after Biggie Diddy n them was doin all the jiggy club shyt but the undaground never went nowhere no matter who was doin whatever

:salute: Thought I was the only one who thought this. There was also No Limit who still had street music in the mainstream.
