I don't get it at all, you can criticize something without it being a catch all. If he was dissing the military he's outspoken enough to do it directly.

I imagine that they are many Viet Nam and Gulf War vets who don't share these current veterans enthusiasm for losing limbs or being poisoned by their own government.
