I have a black grandma. So about 25% black? It doesn't show, my side of the bloodline has been white washed. One of my uncles married black though, so I've got cousins who are like 75% black.

I think growing up around a diverse family helps a lot with having an open mind. Even if the person doesn't look mixed themselves, it still helps to kill prejudice, because it's harder to view race as a stereotype when you associate it with the people you love the most. Like, I'm never going to buy into any shytty stereotypes about black women, that they're rude or angry or whatever, because I grew up around some and I know from experience they're not like that, while kids that come from all white families sometimes only have what the media tells them.
