I don't see how this is a win for her. If she would've did this when Nikki and Young Money was at their height of success then maybe it would be worth talking about but that's not the case.

I don't listen to Nikki Minaj's music but its fair to say her platform and fan base is on a different level than Remi's.

The ONLY way she would've did any damage is by making hot music and building her platform to a level as high or close to as high as the person she was dissing.

She jacked Ether's instrumental's which show's unoriginality. The Nas vs. Jay Z battle pit two rap icon's against one another. Remi's album flopped. She has made no significant impact in hip hop. People like Trina has more hits than her and CARDI B is more popular. She's on Love & Hip Hop for crying out loud

You don't make a diss record for the sake of making it. It has to have an impact. Drake's diss records were weak as hell but made an impact because of the timing of it.

Both Remi and Nikki are both luke warm status but Minaj's credentials and accomplishments are solidified at this point. Remi comes off as kind of bitter for the simple fact that she hasn't accomplished nothing since she's been out and has been reduced to being a reality star character.

Spent the first minute of that diss song talking about something everyone already knew years ago (the fake booty). shyt is sad really. She let Papoose gas her up but in the end, nothing will come from this. Pap tried to do the same thing dissing Kendrick Lamar and his album ended up going double wood.

Nas made Ether and it rejuvenated his career.
50 ended Ja Rules reign by making hot music in addition to making diss songs.

Remy Ma should seriously work on her career. She should be working on a solo album and dropped this song before the release of her album.

Instead she randomly drops a diss song (although a good one) and by next week people will forget about all of this.

This is 2017. Real hip hop is dead. What we have today is a basterdized, homogenized, hyper-commercialized form of 'hip hop'. Taken over, financed, and profited by outsiders/non-blacks. And that's all Papoose right there. When criticized about bringing up Kendrick Lamar's moms' Pap simply said it was hip hop.

But I guarantee if Nikki went brought up the Remi's dead baby and inability to have kids, people would say she's dead wrong.

That's why diss records without a purposed don't make sense anymore. Remi comes from that Queen of the Ring battle rap disguised as spoken word fukkery. That's not nikki's lane and most of her fans don't care.
