An AC is not feasible in the UK as we only have 1 or 2 80 plus f days in the summer.
It was just 60f daytime last week

I don’t recall cali summers being a death sentence which is partially why it is known for having some of the best weather in the world so really The south and the southwest is the true question here.

Also remember the south didn’t get mass migration till the AC was built. And a lot of their cities are on the “newer” scale so a lot of homes have central air.

It’s crazy how in the “old” ass northeast and Midwest central air is actually considered more of a luxury compared to down south.

Not sure if it’s still the case cause I’m sure every new building in the northeast now has central air.
