This is it for Kobe. He's got to show something this year or he's out.
I was shocked to see him in the game last night. I know he's been there 3 or 4 yrs, but it seems like he's been there a decade lol. Thought he had been shipped out.

But yeah, he gotta show somethin'. I know the team is deep, but you gotta find some way to standout on the court.

With me working 2nd shift, this would be the perfect league pass team for me. I already miss the damn primetime games on the weekday

@KFBF

You called it. Respect

-I still don't get it. With my own two eyes Flowers had more upside than Jordan Miller, Kobe Brown, Kobe Sanders, Pat Baldwin, Jason Preston, etc. no to mention athletic, younger, and cheaper. This basically solidifies that our G League affiliate is dog sh*t and absolutely worthless. Nothing at all has ever come from it. "No Youth Allowed" instead of "Streetlights over Spotlights."

I don't know enough about what's going on behind the scenes to say what was going on. Maybe trentyn wanted out because he didn't see a path to playing time and team did him a solid.

I think the g league team might be constructed in a way where the people the team does beleive in have people around them that twill help them succeed. That's what I've read the Preston move was about.

Flowers looked the part physically (:dame:) but who knows if hebcouodnt play withing the scheme or whatever. Jordan Miller could kill it in g league but when he got his shot he wasn't that impressive.

I know you tend to be higher on the young guys than I do but there's no one that we've let go that I think the team really regrets. We'll see what happens with Flowers, Boston, and Diabate this year.

Edit: I think you could throw KPJ in there as well. Idk if Kai Jones is still in the league. I don't think any of them are winning basketball players. I think maybe the person I miss the most is Bones, but for most part I think they're all bums or chuckers.

I thought Preston was gonna eventually have a season like Michael Carter Williams rookie season:pachaha:
Nothing stands out about him. Not one category. A point guard has to have a least two positives to get a roster spot and then some playing time. Speed, can shoot the three, handles, first step, assists/court vision, leadership, draw fouls/get to the line, etc. Dude doesn't excel in none of these characteristics at all.

Either way I'm going to cool it on the youth movement talk. Its just Cam Christie, Yanic, and Kobe Sanders now anyways. Good luck to them in SD. Kobe Brown and Jordan Miller are closer to 30 than 20 so I don't really consider them as part of a youth movement anymore. So good luck to anybody trying to develop on our G League squad which so far has been a career death trap for young players. I was high on Diabate and Flowers mainly. Diabate has a roster spot secured in Charlotte and Boston is now playing in Instanbul, Turkey.

But we have a really good team, old as dirt, but should be top 4 baring good health. I think Batum is washed though and I wish a guy like Kobe Brown played with more hunger and desperation and snatched his minutes away, but that doesn't appear to be happening. But yeah, no more youth movement-San Diego Clipper talk from me. Player development is 100% fully dead in ClipperVille.

Jordan Miller is bad. Not that they'll ever actually start him in the regular season, but this is where the Clippers are going to miss Coffey and Mann

The addition of John Collins alone= Mann + Coffey and then some. He and Brook Lopez, who's shooting like Steph Curry in this preseason is going to feed families. Miller was good and bad in this game, but he fills that Coffey role perfectly imo. This team is stacked.

I think Dunn and DJJ should be more than enough to replace those two

Paul, Dunn, Collins, and Lopez lineups looked to be cooking.
