I don't know if they can win without them playing that many minutes.

Starters
Harden: 32
Beal: 25
Jones Jr: 20
Kawhi: 30
Zubac: 28

Bench
Collins: 25
Paul: 20
Dunn: 15
Bogi: 15
Batum: 15
Lopez: 15

Frank said theyll run with a 9 man rotation; I'm guessing Bogi and Dunn are most likely to fall out of rotation absent any injuries. I hope it's Bogi and not Dunn as I like Dunn's defensive intensity. Also Paul gives you more efficient version of what Bogi does. I didnt think CP3 would see more than 15 minutes but having one of him or Harden on the court all times is probably ideal.

None of the young guys will see any time short of 4-5 guys getting hurt.
Why would Collins not start lol

Good podcast about summer league. General consensus is none of the young guys are NBA ready. Christie probably the closest. Said he looked stronger. They also said Flowers is a crazy athlete but kind of all over the place. Said his ceiling might be DJJ.

Jordan Miller is not an NBA player or at least won't be with Clippers. Doesn't use off hand, not a good enough athlete, not a good enough shooter.

Christie is definitely the most ready. I think the team should bring Miller back. He's better than Sanders and Baldwin who occupy two of our three two-way spots. I would like to see him get another chance with us or someone else. Like I said before he just has to have a different game where the ball not in his hands like it is in SL and the G League. He's the guy stuck in the corner in the big leagues waiting a for a pass when the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd options are tied up. And he's got to knock down the open jumper. The open three ball is what's going to keep him in the NBA.

Flowers and Yanic are two good prospects to work with.

CP3 saying all the right things now early on. Not starting is one thing, but he's going to raise hell and cause problems if he gets DNP's. That's a fact.

Hope Beal comes in with a chip on his shoulder, turn back the clock, and bring out that D.C. Beal

But no team to play for. Bring him back on a two-way contract. Our three two-way players are Flowers, Patrick Baldwin, and Kobe Sanders. We're keeping Flowers, but Miller is definitely better than Baldwin and Sanders.
I'd get rid of Baldwin. I kind of figured Miller would get picked up by somebody. Wonder if him or Goodwin end up so.ewhere first.

Because he can't defend. Kawhi and primarily Zu can't cover for Harden, Beal, and Collins imo.
lol your dumb af if you think Collin’s coming off the bench.. to get full potential Beal needs to come off the bench and be a upgraded norm Powell , shoot all he wants with Dunn at the 2

We'll see. The league is full. Players are hard pressed to even make Utah, Charlotte type squads. That's why I gave props to a kid like Moussa for locking down a contract no matter if the team is good or bad. Every team probably has a "Jordan Miller" that needs minutes and a couple of young guys that needs development and playing time. Coffey is unsigned right now too. Its tough getting a roster spot in the league now. Definitely will get a camp invite if they're still unsigned come September.

Supposedly Collins is a better defender than what was allowed on Utah. They say Van Gundy is going to take him under his wing and bring the defender in him. If Collins doesn't start then Kawhi has to guard the opposing team's starting power forward and that could lead to exhaustion and possible injury. We'll see.

I think Collins has to start. The main reason in getting him was so Kawhi didn't have to play the four and a body to throw on the Aaron Gordon types who bullied us in every playoff game. I think Beal is starting too, but I agree he would be better coming off the bench.

lol oh I know Collins is starting he’s the 3rd highest paid player, damn near the youngest and just was avg 19 and 8 it’s not a question if he’s starting lol wtf .. Beal would be way more dangerous in the 6th man role

Reporting that I've read is that Beal signed with the Clippers because he was offered a starting role. He did not seriously consider teams that weren't offering that.

His goal seems to be to rebuild his value and get another check once his deal is done. I don't think you do that coming off the bench. All things being equal easier to send someone you traded for to the bench than someone you made a promise to who signed with you. Well see what Tyu Lue does.

I think the argument would be it doesn't matter if Kawhi isn't guarding fours if he's forced into a position where the defensive load is even greater cause he's having to cover for Harden, Beal, and Collins.

Be curious to hear/read more about Collins being a better defender than Utah showed. That's definitely not my recollection of him in Atlanta. Him being a neutral defender is still probably not good enough. Who is guarding Ja, Shai, Booker, Ant, etc. obviously not Harden, tried it with Beal in Phoenix and it was ugly, and I dont think Kawhi can stay in front of the quicker guards like he used to.

I think, obviously, a starting lineup with Beal and Collins has a high offensive ceiling but it doesn't matter if they score 115 every game but give up 125. The bit of success the team had came from them playing defense imo. That was the identity.

Ty Lue strong suit isn’t rotations so I have no faith in him with that regardless

I think he's ok with it, but what sinks it for him is he needs like a 15 game sample size to make any decision or change. 15 games is approaching 20% of the season. What didn't you see in 7-10 games that you need 15 for? It could get ugly as we have so many new players. Hopefully they link up at the Rico runs or San Diego as the season approaches to build chemistry.
