I doubt they will take it, but even if the plaintiffs lose, just taking the case would be the end of America as we know it.
If states can sue each other over internal state issues, Federalism would be bushed. The entire Constitutional framework of state's rights, of states running their elections, the whole notion of a Federal Republic. Out the window.

The fact that 17(!) AGs filed amicus briefs is profoundly disturbing. All this loyalty to one man.:wow:
Friday can't come quickly enough.

exorbitant legal fees
I posted this in another thread, maybe someone here would disagree:

Fighting election results in the matter of public opinion (for future political support) is entirely different than fighting it in the Court. The Court is a completely different arena, which is why Trump hasn’t won a single case there. Trump’s legal team hasn’t come with any facts supporting mass voter fraud, so most Courts have thrown out cases because of the lack of these facts. Now, you are always entitled to an appeal. However, Appellate Courts only consider matters of procedure, they don’t redetermine facts. The Texas Court’s kicking it up to the State Supreme Court is a procedural issue, not a factual one. In any event, the US Supreme Court isn’t interested in determining a State’s dispute with another State’s legal electoral process. They unanimously shut it down with refusing to hear the prior Pennsylvania challenge.

The Supreme Court will strike this down however all this fukkery doesn’t bode well for future elections going forward. The precedent has been set. Republican refusal to denounce the voter fraud myths tells me that future elections where it’s very close they will try to pull off a future coup. Now they have courts which means voter suppression in swing states will held up

How can a country survive or get anything done when one party refuses to work it’s the other side? One side refuse to accept reality, listens to far right propaganda which preaches sedition and violent insurrection and values obstruction. One side is getting more fascist and welcoming of white nationalist.
All this hyper polarization is giving me pre-Civil war vibes. Another 20 years of this type of hyper polarized politics and minority rule via courts and state legislatures is not sustainable. The country went through the same thing in the 1850s when the south had minority rule through the courts and state legislatures.
