Just got on that lil while ago myself, so im still a newbie aw well. Used to have an extension where you could download videos from youtube, but it Chrome banned all of them.

For some reason I don't use as many add ons for Chrome as I did for Firefox.

However the must haves are...

Adblock Plus - Block ads
Google Quick Scroll - Highlights Google keyword search result when you visit page
Autopager - Automatically scrolls to next page
Google Search By Image - Right click an image and search for it on Google, GOAT
Google Similar Pages - Shows similar pages best on your current website
