Avirex, North Faces too.
Remember the Razor Tag era?
nikkas/bytches gettin their food ate (Face slashed) for no reason, just for being at the wrong place, wrong time, by Bloods for initiation.
shyt was dumb.

Real talk.

Cats were getting jumped for their sneakers and starter jackets. :sadcam: @ getting jumped then have to trek home in your socks.

:whoo: That razor tag shyt was no joke. I remember sophmore year ('96) I was in summer school at Francis Lewis. A bunch of us were chilling outside when someone ran up behind this dude we were with and sliced his face open. :merchant: The way he got sliced, part of his cheek flipped over like if your pops slices a rump roast. :bryan:

Just about every major city and every city near a major city was worse back then

Back in the early 90s...you not only had crime problems in NYC with the drugs...but Newark and Paterson were hell holes too. The crack era just took a huge dump all over America back then.

Today's NYC is safer, but some neighborhoods have hardly changed. Sure, the crime and the drugs may not be as bad, but the poverty is still pretty real in these neighborhoods. The places that haven't been gentrified look like Stalingrad.

Cosign. I'm from Newark and spent alotta time there and it's still real bad out there since I moved 8 yrs ago. Building in ruins, streets filled with gang violence and car thefts out the ass.:wow: It's gotten to the point where everyone is scared to drive any luxury cars over there because you'll get car-jacked.

My uncle had brought a new truck fully loaded with rims and tv's in the car and that shyt got stolen by some bloods who were involved in a shootout while in the car. My uncle said they found the car totaled, riddled with bullets with a body in it because some nikkas pulled up on the car and sprayed it with a tec:damn: That's why they call Newark the car theft capital of the world there's even a movie about it called "New Jersey Drive".

What's scary is that my Pops who grew up there during the 80's and 90's and he tells me we got it good compared to what it once was. :whew:

NJ Drive was my shyt back in '95 :ohlawd: BUt Newark hasn't had that moniker for at least a decade now. Top car theft cities are in the west now.

How old are you that your pops was still growing up in the 90's ? :dwillhuh:

Very True. People here get it twisted thinking Hipsters run NYC.
shyt got a little better over the years but some parts of NYC are still hood as fukk.
As far as Jersey goes, Jersey City is still hood, Paterson is still a shyt hole, so is Newark.
