Power of presence.

Cool post breh. You dropped some gems. I think you're spot on addressing how many fall into a spell of misery by being too results oriented/endgame focused and don't embrace/cherish/acknowledge the many nuances of the journey that take you to that "point". Makes me think of Alan Watts when he said you're supposed to dance while the music is playing, not when the song is finished, or something like that.

I Am Everywhere.
Major success and becoming elite often carries a level of isolation with it.

This is because climbing from the bottom, or the middle, to the top often requires putting distance between the self and those who do not understand ambition, distract from the process of building, or envy its fruits.

Once one is at the top, it also tends to attract both admiration and jealousy, which may feel alienating.

There might be a way to do it and keep those original connections or reconnect. Change isn't always easy. If there's some sort of balance I'd probably be interested.

One can also choose to be happy with simply having enough.

And then there are those meant for power in its absolute forms. It's up to the individual to decide if separation means loneliness or validation.

the internet
wait...why does OP say he made it?
Whats that bank roll like?

Seem like he made it to the "middle class" and finally has some breathing room...but you got much further to go...
...especially if you can see your job being dropped in the next few years.

I been there homie. I travel all over the world for my company. When I get overseas there is a driver waiting for me. When I go to europe they have a driver who often times is in a benz or BMX waiting to pick me up.

I get put in a 5 star hotels and we get like $150 per diem a day.

The hotels I stay in are some of the nicest I have ever stayed in my life.

When I go to India they put me up in 5 star resorts and shyt.

It does make you feel guilty especially in those countries cause there are so many poor people there.

You have to make sure the stuff doesn't mess up your head because you will think this is how stuff is suppose to be when it really isnt.

Also what OP and I go through is nothing new. Especially for folks that travel overseas for work. This kind of life style is common.....plus it aint all good cause being on the road is a bytch especially overseas. Companies try to go beyond when it comes to pampering because they don't want you moral tp go to shyt being away from home.

@Originalman what kind of degree you have and what % of time do you travel? Can you bring your wife along if you pay for her travel or are you to busy?

Got a degree in Industrial Engineering, Masters in Manufacturing Engineering and finishing up my Masters in Systems Engineering.

shyt at one time I was traveling as much as 100%. Now it is maybe 50% now (but I just got put on a hot program so it might got back to 100%). My wife can come if I pay for her plane ticket. But I have kids so she stays home. But usually I am too busy. A few times I have had her fly in to meet me.

Last year I was seeing a supplier in San Miguel Mexico (beautiful area) and had her fly in for the weekend.

Very humble of you man. The only piece of advice I have for you is to find your OWN way to give back to the "little" guys of the world. Whether it's charity, whether it's putting more effort into helping a relative of yours, whether it's starting your own little business, or just going to help at a soup kitchen every now and then. Make sure you have something to keep you grounded, that has special importance to you.
