it ain't got that same excitement it once had. for me, listenin' to it now has became almost like a chore just to find somethin' new and even when i do find somethin' new and kinda of cool, it only sticks to me for like a minute. it ain't got no "stayin' power" as barry white use to say. hip hop is stale and played now (has been for close to 20 years) but it's now to the point where it's just flat out a parody of what it once was

For me personally I love Hip Hop still as much as ever. Has been a lot of shyt I've really felt, even this year, still get just as excited hearing new dope/great music.

Different times man. Just gotta accept the fact that the youth don't like shyt you can think about. Complex shyt sadly, rarely in anymore. I'm a young artist too and I make music that gives you that excitement feel (I hope) but at the same time I try to connect to the youth, not in a smoke weed catch aids way, but in a "bro, I feel your pain/struggle" way

it means that hip hop isn't interestin' to me anymore. it doesn't surprise me anymore. it's been very complacent for years now and it's just redundant

as far as the classics, i never say never but i don't know because i enjoy listenin' to so many of the original songs that many of the hip hop songs i've loved have sampled from and to me nothin' is better than the original. sure, a few flips of a sample are cool here and there but it's nothin' compared to hearin' the actual record from which that hip hop song was sampled from.

new music? new music could be old music if it's somethin' i've never heard. new hip hop? yes, i'm done with

People say this all the time but when you asked them how much hip hop they've looked for on their own without it being pushed on to them by "the industry" they say none.

There's a million rappers out here. There really is something for everyone.

that's thing man, i'm always listenin' to other genres. in a couple of hours i could go from bumpin' fleetwood mac in the whip to rakim to pearl jam to lionel richie etc

hip hop has just run it's course for me; because of the lack of findin' a lo of new hip hop music that really sticks to my taste buds, i've listened to the old classics so much that i'm now tired of them

I got that Cormega CD and im really leaning towards giving Havoc joint a go...

But at the same time, that thugga and quan is really holding the fort down as well...

Allow yourself to admit that certain music not in your typical "lane"can be hot as well..

I've missed out on a lot of music during my bitter hip hop stage for that same reason..
