I'm ready to jailbreak this iPhone brehs.

Help me brehs.

I'm getting bored with the plain look of the home screen and lockscreen and I want to switch it up.

I knew I was going to do this eventually so I never updated my iOS so I'm still on iOS 8.1.

Where do I go/what do I download to get this done?

Anything I should be worried about like voiding the warranty or bricking the phone? Will this affect my battery life either?

Thanks. The Pangu jailbreak didn't work for me so I used TaiG instead but everything is working fine now. I just need to redownload my apps and download some tweaks.

Ended up un-jailbreaking it yesterday.

Was cool and some of the tweaks were mad useful but I couldn't take the random restarting and for whatever reason Google Play Music was unbearably laggy which made it damn near unusable.

I'm ready to jailbreak mine too. The bytch was on 8.1.2 and the Apple "genius" decided it needed to be updated before I left the Apple store.

You gotta downgrade to 8.1.2 then jailbreak.
