before I begin id like to remind everyone I own every console, a gaming pc and will own both xboxone and ps4 next month on day of release with at least 3 titles for each consoles on day one... however....

im disappointed with the hardware. when xbox360 dropped in 2006 it had need for speed which looked like this....

720p HD graphics... meanwhile at the ranch ps2 version was looking flabby...

a lot of people will say you can't tell with launch games well the above voids that theory,

so even before the consoles are out were talking about limitations, no 1080p + 60fps etc. it was only last year everyone was talking about the new consoles using 4k resolution for games to only find out it can't cope with current resolution. when has a console ever dropped and limitations were evident before release?

and even the hard drive space is last gen, at least have 1tb drive if you're trying to push downloable games to the customer. MS and sony are trying to sell gallons of milk to us but giving us wine glasses to drink from smh.

also is the only generation where pc has easily been the better option in terms of games running and looking better and actually being cheaper? and with consoles moving to a more pc architecture the likelihood of seeing these games ending up on pc is even higher than previous generations.

anyway all opinions drop yours

I think your expectations are too high.

These systems are a lot more powerful than their predecessors, and they are a lot of power for the price.

Also it's not only the power of the systems that matter. It would take devs a lot more time, resources and ultimately money to produce graphics like that in all games.

If the average consumer was willing to pay $1000 for the system and $100 per game then you would get the performace you want.

I think the games do look significantly better. But more importantly some of the features and new ideas the extra power affords will define "next gen"

I cant find the link but I saw a video that basically explains your disappointment with graphical improvements. Basically the more pixels you have to work with, the less noticeable the graphical improvements will be. That's just how it is.

The PS2 - PS3 graphical change will probably be the biggest improvement we will ever see in gaming consoles and in the upcoming next gen consoles, visuals will not be the defining factor when "defining" next gen.

I believe Microsoft saw this trend and tried to get ahead of the curve with all the Xbone features, they just introduced their vision terribly.

Gotta agree that haven't really been as wowed from the jump between this generation and the next as I've been previously from an eyeball test...don't know if it's some type of law of diminishing returns type shyt with graphical power or whatever

that's because you're used to high end pc gaming visuals. there is a huge difference. I saw a big difference between games on my older gtx 550 tI at medium settings compared to its console cousins.
