I have believed for sometime now that Gentrification killed New York HipHop. So many minorities were forced to move from the City due to high cost over the last 20 years. The reason NYC is struggling to find talent is because a lot of that talent that would have been have all moved away. NYC is a transplant city outside of the Bronx and Staten Island. Most people from NYC are not from there. The native talent pool is just much smaller now in NYC than it has ever been

EVERYONE made the comparison between them when Hot nikka first came out he was a teenage gangsta that rapped about killin nikkas and sellin drugs out the trap in a video shot in the hood wit his rap crew who are also his gang (only thing missin from his video were guns but he used the finger guns instead) dude basically a New York Chief Keef right down to them bein a year apart, them Drill nikkas in Chicago even got tight and accused him of bitin they shyt and both Shmurda and Keef have the same fans these young nikkas all over the country who was fukkin wit Keef started fukkin wit Shmurda once he blew too.
