The booth full of bozo's.

They gotta wait for Kanye or Nas or hipster ppl to cosign em before they can formulate a opinion on a artist.

Man I remember when these motherfukkas were shytting on Sosa when he first dropped Faneto.

These lames are so outta touch. Don't know shyt bout young ppl or street music. Leave em to bumping their Sha Hef and Freddie Gibbs :mjlol:

Remember when someone in here said Gibbs was the most influential street rapper in the past 10 years :laff:

While Los Angeles is producing quality artist after artist NYC struggling to find someone other than Rocky is :mjlol:

I have believed for sometime now that Gentrification killed New York HipHop. So many minorities were forced to move from the City due to high cost over the last 20 years. The reason NYC is struggling to find talent is because a lot of that talent that would have been have all moved away. NYC is a transplant city outside of the Bronx and Staten Island. Most people from NYC are not from there. The native talent pool is just much smaller now in NYC than it has ever been :yeshrug:

the turn around will happen when more artists are more reflective of actual ny youth
a$ap mob are the closest to it

a lot of artists basically come to ny to go to a$ap jiggy nikka academy anyways jajajahahahaa
learning how to dress and all that jazz

the flyest cats in the city don't seem to have a strong interest in rapping
we just seem content to live the lifestyle and be legendary lowkey right now

*
A$AP Mob sold out they don't represent the streets no more. A Boogie with da Hoodie is a perfect representation of modern NY youth. Balmains, BAPE'd out. GS9 represented wild West Indian Brooklyn kids from the hood.

:mjlol:@ this dumbass thread ain't nobody heard of any them nikkas in the OP besides Desiigner who don't even sound like he from NY, and GS9 the only other NY rappers wit buzz are bout to do life in prison. :michaeljordanlaugh:@ sayin Shmurda and them gave NY an identity like Chief Keef did for Chicago when Bobby Shmurda took his identity from Keef, if anythin Keef the one who set the precedent for those nikkas and gave NY a new identity like every region has done for the last decade cause NY ain't been original since the 90s. And even tho we sharin the game wit the South right now LA bout to run shyt in a few years, wit all the rappers poppin out here the last several years (who people have actually heard of) from the ones that been around for awhile like Kendrick TDE and Nipsey to the newer homies like YG Vince Staples and Skeme LA definitely finna take over.

Why do I care about a 40 year old 50 Cent's opinion?

Shmurda doesn't rap like Chief Keef, period.
:stopitslime:You in blatant denial mode in this thread, Bobby Shmurda clearly was influenced by Chief Keef and has a nearly identical style from the sound and content to the look and presentation and their rap cadence in those 2 songs is the same. EVERYONE made the comparison between them when Hot nikka first came out he was a teenage gangsta that rapped about killin nikkas and sellin drugs out the trap in a video shot in the hood wit his rap crew who are also his gang (only thing missin from his video were guns but he used the finger guns instead:francis:) dude basically a New York Chief Keef right down to them bein a year apart, them Drill nikkas in Chicago even got tight and accused him of bitin they shyt and both Shmurda and Keef have the same fans these young nikkas all over the country who was fukkin wit Keef started fukkin wit Shmurda once he blew too.

He does and you have multiple people telling you so. Again if you want to be hard headed, that's on you.

DJ Drama, 50 Cent, some guy from Los Angeles and a guy from Canada all think he does.....did we all meet up together to just make this up?
Its way more than just you 4 people errbody been sayin this that NY cat just tryna play dumb like he never heard that comparison before, nikka all thru this thread doin mental gymnastics denyin Bobby said "shawty" wit a Southern accent tryna set up a straw man argument for your comment about bubble coats and timbs like he didn't understand it was a tongue in cheek reference and focusin on you sayin he had a dance like Soulja Boy to deflect from the overwhelmin proof that he a Keef clone.

Stupid L.A. nikkas man shut your simple minded misinformed ass up...

I heard the dumb ass comparison since day one and Bobby himself shot it down. Bobby was locked up when Keef was popping nikka.

Keef was the first teenage gangsta rapper to film a low budget hood video that's what y'all mothafukkas are saying...

The dude took a fukking Lloyd Banks beat produced by Jahlil Beats, released before Back From The Dead even dropped and spit for 3 minutes with no hook that sounds very Keef like.
