Drill ain't nothin but gangsta rap from Chicago, nikkas need to be real and stop actin like its actually a separate genre of music. The West invented gangsta rap but cause it had its own unique sound wit the beats and shyt that other regions couldn't duplicate it was specified as "West Coast Gangsta Rap", gangsta rap from the East has a certain sound as well thats unlike other regions but people don't play like it ain't still gangsta rap. I give Trap Music a pass cause they focussin on a specific type of gangsta rap the sellin drugs part of the gangsta culture so that along wit the sound makes it a separate subgenre, but "Drill" literally has the same content as all other gangsta rap songs from all over the country (and doesn't speak heavily on slangin so it ain't copyin Trap Music its mostly songs about bangin on "Opps") yet cats try to say its a different genre just cause the beats don't sound like other regions when that can be said about gangsta rap from the West East and South.
