Im super late but does anyone do mobile data tethering for gaming?

i just discovered this shyt like an hour ago holy shyt! My wifi sucks but ever since tethering ive been running smooth and it barely uses any data for online gaming..thank God im computer literate because my wifi has been getting overburdened and the lag online was terrible...i kno im late but better late than never..its fukk wifi now
