Im terrible at Lasar Tag, any tips?

I'm taking some of the kids at my high school to Zap Zone on Monday. I've haven't played in years but I've never been good at lasar tag. I'm sure they gonna smoke me but I at least wanna be respectable. For those who are good at it what your strategy?

Wear dark clothing because of the black lights, pretend like you’re John Wick, watch your 6, don’t be afraid to camp and/or ‘accidentally’ trip others

Use your fat teammates for cover and stupid ones for bait

Only expose yourself in a very narrow angle enough to engage one enemy at time.

Once you reveal your position by blasting on a fool, if you can, fall back and move to a different position.
