dont stay at a hostel i have before and shyt sucks

less security, filthier mattresses, less privacy and an overall cheap feeling

spend the extra cash to get a nice room. you only live once and only do trips like this a few times why be cheap?

last time i was in Manhatten i stayed at Hotel Pennsylvania like a block from the Empire state building. it was $180 a night. i think you have to book at least two nights now. i just saw rates of 103 a night there right now though check it out

there really is no cheap place to stay in NYC unless you wanna commute from New Jersey. its gonna be a a couple hundred to stay in the city

overall most hostels are horrible, some might be nice but you will miss a hotel as soon as you step foot in a hostel.
