Look at how violent movies were back in the days too.

America is has become very repressed now. But it's okay for homo's kiss in public, men to dress like women and for women to Twerk on national TV.

But a man being a man on TV? Nope to "Archaic". Shooting and Stabbing in Action or Horror movies? Nope, too violent!
Movies are far more violent now. They're more graphic and realistic in the depiction of violence. Especially foreign films.

Exactly, the left won the culture wars. I hate to say it, but a lot of those idiot right wingers were right about what would happen to AmeriKKKan culture if that happened.

Um, no.

Watch "Death Wish" with Charles Bronson with those graphic rapes and murders in them.

Today's Hollywood movies have "cartoon" violence with lots of CGI explosions and shyt like that, but guys like Schwarzenegger, Stallone, and Bronson have WAYYYYY higher body counts than The Rock and Vin Diesel and people like that.

Now, foreign films have always been crazier in terms of content, but we're talking about Hollywood in America here.

LOL I was just saying the just saying this the other day to someone because I have the DVDs...I remember when the show first aired and it was off the charts...but watching it today...there is no way these skits would be done...Homey the Clown, Handiman, Men in Film, The homeless guy, ..things are very hyper sensitive today...I swear on everything I just had this conversation a week ago

The same is true with Married with Children...one of the GOATs...they will never ever make something like that again...a show like that would get a station boycotted, with protests

I agree, and you can add video games to that...Most of the things that they have in the most popular games GTA, Call of Duty etc...were completely unthinkable in the late 80s and 90s...

but what I think shows like In Living Color does ...or perceptibly does...is mock issues that have become very politicized in the last 10 years or so....mocking homeless people? Mocking gays? Mocking the handicap? Mocking little people? Mocking activists? In this day and age? I couldn't see this even making it past the first stage of getting on the desk of some TV executive.
