no GS death lineup zaza and mcgee would foul out and dray would foul out as well.
DRAYMOND would stop him.Picture draymond getting backed down by shaq![]()
Why didn't he average that in '04 against the Pistons?
Or in 97 against the Jazz?
or in 98 against the Jazz?
Why did Shaq EVER lose at anything according to y'all
The Warriors would just let him get his and shut down the rest of the team. That blueprint has been used to stop Shaq-led teams over and over again.
In 98 they got swept weauxdie. Kobe airballed in the clutch in 1 game. What happened in the other three?Didbt Kobe shoot airballs in the clutch in 98? didn't he shoot 38% in 04??
I blame him more for those losses![]()

In 97 they lost 4-1. Kobe was barely playing at that point.
And yes, Kobe went out on that "IM DA MAN NOW" shyt in '04 but you're proving my point.
Golden State lets Shaq dominate when he gets down low. You trap the ball hard, force his guards to make quick passes into the post and collapse on him as soon as the pass is made. Then you get in transition because its going to be 4 on 5 with Shaq's slow ass becuase he's not getting back on defense.
The Utah Jazz played it perfectly and swept the favored Lakers this year. It looked like this:
He should've averaged 50 vs Greg Foster right?
OP don't make a Shaq Stan blow up your argument. Don't do that to me![]()
He would eat them nikkas alive. fukk what these new nikkas try to tell you. If they pulled a miracle and neutralized him, they had fukking Kobe Bryant. The Lakers had shooters, great role players and were a great defensive team. 04 shaq wasnt fukking 00 shaq. You make good points
I was young af in 2000 and shaq seemed unstoppable (Like best player ever unstoppable) I think he put it all together in 2000 that's why I picked that year you don't think he'd completely dominate GSW?

Shaq was not a good pick and roll defender. On defense the warriors would aim to drag him away from the paint so he couldn't protect the rim. On offense, he needed the ball down low. They'd look to guard him similar to how Dallas guarded him in 2006 by sending a double before he has the ball so that when he does get the ball, he's already in a crowd and has no room to operate, forcing him to pass the ball back out. This takes 8-12 seconds off the clock each time. Shaq was also not great at getting back on defense and the warriors speed would be a problem for him since he'd have to keep running the floor. It's a bad matchup. He would get his but the warriors would be able to exploit his flaws as a player and force the rest of the team to try overcompensating. You'd need 3-4 shooters on the floor at all times to give him room to post up.
Down low hell yeah the Warriors get obliterated. But why would they just let the Lakers set Shaq up down low over and over again? You make good points
