Like in those New York esque apartments with 20 floors
could they make it work?
raid type resident evil in the hood type game..
Surprised it hasn't been made yet...
We don't really have much black developers that aren't huge nerds in the industry.
It’ll be a very game.
“You shot the zombie thug?”
“He was a zombie?”
Somebody on dreams will make it I bet. That shyt is the future
Make the MC a black man in his mid 20s and the woman mc a Latina in her 20s, set in New York with a quarantine vibe in a huge apartment complex that unbeknownst to the inhabitants it has a secret lair where the landlord works on his experiments for umbrella. Being a landlord is just a front
Capcom probably reading this like
Yall really want the Umbrella Corporation to gentrify the hood? Yall saw what they turned Racc00n City into...
He was infected with the T virus
" No he wasn't "
The Thug virus
The Kotaku's of the worlds would ruin it because liberal white people think it's their jobs to police black people like special needs kids.
Opppp, that's racist
What about the black women?
What about the trans, short, laser printer identifying, non binaries?
Why does he talk like that?
Should we celebrating a game with black people being voilent?
I hope ya'll see why "black content" isn't made unless it's basically stories of chocolate covered white people (aka black experiences from a lense that white ppl would understand is because of this woke bullshyt.
The game could happen if they leave out trans, gay shyt and racism. No one will complain unless the mc is gay
The Tag line is "The Hood Will Never Be The Same"
I won't go too hard on this, but, that's my problem with video games and media (comic books for example).
You've got these people marketing to mentally compromised people, trying to project this idea of how the world works to promote an agenda of compliance.
Like a post said above me; you could definitely center this around gentrification. But, it'll have to be in a "not all white people" manner to where white characters are helping out.
Meanwhile, the main character would have to project a bunch of bullshyt (never went to jail, no baby-momma, educated etc.) because black people are ashamed we really go through in order to be sensitive and mainstream. They definitely wouldn't let the MC speak with slang or ebonics.
I just would imagine it'll be a lot of "you can't do that, white people are watching" when creativity is supposed to be unlimited.
Im posting from the typical CAC perspective, if it's gay shyt or focused on women it's a problem to them
I'd rather it not be so PC with the LGBT though. It's not hard to make this game because you'd rarely leave the building. Tidbits about gentrification scrawled on notes in game could be a thing for atmospheric vibes but other than that it's not necessary.
