And in that sense I mean there is absolutely nothing you could have done to change, prevent or alter it in any way, shape or form. For you what was is and will be.

Doesn't that feel kind of liberating? No more beating yourself up like Ike playing the coulda, woulda, shoulda card because you've stopped dealing from that deck.

Got your heartbroken back when? Cool. What did you learn about trying to train a streetwalker into becoming a fair maiden and your own reasons for picking such a challenge as well as the part you played in the outcome?

Homeboys set you up, wet you up and left you for dead? All good, still breathing and now you know a heck of a lot more about those who smile and are villains as well as acclimatizing with your blind spot, yes?

Apply this same method of thinking which flips the script from not looking through the shoulda, coulda, woulda lens but chooses the "What did I learn? What will I never do again? How did I upgrade my wetware from the experience?" perspective instead and what what kicks as your neural traces start recoding in the moment and you find yourself creating fresh instead of reacting stale.

Try it. See what happens. Flip the script because remember the most vital thing about the Game:

It all plays out inside your awareness.

- Signed, a figment of your imagination.

Basic tenet of Stoicism.

Every man should read Meditations by Marcus Aurelius. Once you learn to roll with the punches, nothing can hinder you.

In Aikido the principle is to use your Opponents force against him by brooking no resistance whilst remaining Centered in Self. The formless form as its known and the true source of all power in this realm. All other learning is akin to preparation for this revelation.

Back on topic I've just had a couple of pieces drop in like Tetris that add a lot of weight to the concept that we don't actually have any free will at all. Check:

Now that will be the future, in some sense, but here and now its seeds are already present inside your consciousness. How many times have you reacted on "auto pilot" or said "I don't know what came over her?". The illusion of free will.

Knowing this offers a chance at freedom because you see the difference between Thunk and think as the former is repetitious chunks rearranged ad infinitum whereas the latter is quite literally no-thing. A space of potential which unfolds realization about the true nature of the Game.

In that sense this is the lack of knowledge that causes people to perish as they beat themselves up in their head about things that are as etched and unchangeable as a motion picture on a disk. Granted there are layers to this and I'm just outlining some metaphysics but what I've said is practical and actionable.

Should you choose the option.

You can't really choose an option if we don't have free will. I think a more accurate idea is that we do have "free will" but its limited by the limits of our reality. That statement is true in more ways than one. We are the sum of all of our past actions, biology, the actions of parents, the physical laws of the universe and a myriad of other shyt we have no control of. In other words we live in a Deterministic universe.

But this doesn't matter. When ppl say they have free will, they're not saying they can jump to Saturn at any time....they unknowingly acknowledging that eating the ass of Ice Spice is within the relam of possibilities of their limited choices.

^ a big brain explanation of what I'm trying to say.

An easy to digest version although I have problems with it. Many worlds (free will) vs Deterministic.
Btw Devs is the shyt.

Like I said there are levels to this and its not purely mechanistic but the default mode network for most people is akin to autopilot. Realizing this is the key to liberation and actualizing your higher awareness which is true free will and not the illusion of it.

Will check out the links later, thanks.
