True. The kicker is also who is doing the crucifying. In the case of black women slander, all too often, outside forces, white women and so one jump in what is essentially a digital lynching. It rarely goes the other way unless it is a general issue that effects all men, like false accusations. I've always seen it as a reminder of how racist and biased people are in general and the overall failings of "intersectonality", if one can even call it that.

Yeah its definitely a trend. Before Wesley Snipes and Pac it was trendy to boost light skin men. A lot black women find dark skin men more sexually appealing (due to the hypermasculine archetype that's pushed so heavily with dark skin men) but prefer to procreate and marry lighter skin men. Unfortunately its a byproduct of white supremacy and the belief that proximity to whiteness (or in this case lightness) equates to better socio-economic success.

I've had a lot of success with black women though so I'm not tripping but I've definitely dealt with a fair share of colorism from them.
