The last UFC game that Yukes did was actually pretty dope. I'm scared EA is going to fukk this franchise up :yeshrug:

They got the Fight Night people on it, at worst it's a decent game, but at least it's not a PS2 engine powering it :wow:. Trust me breh, Yukes were forced to create a new engine for the UFC game because they had to, if they thought they could get away with using the PS2 WWF Smackdown engine for it they would have

Fight Night Champion still gets play from me so thats a good thing....WWE needs those developers.

Yeah I was just playing FNC last night actually.... before 2K got the WWE license I was really hoping EA would get it :patrice:.

I wonder what the odds are 2K actually start from scratch on the next one and make a decent WWE game.

As a developer, I know starting over isn't easy. Realistically, I wouldn't even trip if they skipped a year and revamped the engine....

:gladbron: You gamedevving too brah?

Yeah I've only dealt with 2D sprites so far and even that would be a bytch to start completely from scratch with, nevermind 3D models with rigs, textures, physics and shyt like that

However, I hope they'll bite the bullet and start the process of revamping this shyt now

Nah. Standard PC applications :sadcam: The general concepts behind my comment can be applied to many places though.

I wish I was creative enough to do game development. :whew:

Every developer starts over every 5-6 years when the new consoles drop, those b*stards skipped an entire generation of tech because their lazy asses just kept refining that PS2 engine

Exactly. The 5-6 year point is perfect. Get the framework right in years 1-2, get the gamplay on point in 3-4 and add the dope features in 5-6. They literally haven't released a great game since around 2006

:ehh: I preferred the most recent UFC game to the most recent Fight Night game for the simple reason that you were able to sim the training exercises in career mode on the UFC game as opposed to Fight Night :yeshrug:

I think 2K already started on their new version of WWE when they first got the license. That game we got was what we were going to get from Yukes even if 2K didn't get the franchise and they've been developing theirs from day one...could be wrong but like all of you have said shyt needs to be upgraded BADLY

You gotta think 2K are making a new engine..they can't use an engine that's been around since like 2007..

@ The UFC game, as said, they have the fightnight devs working on it, so i have faith in them
