Kobe an SG playing with broken fingers and sh*t :wow:

People don't talk about it but Kobe missed quite a few games too. I went to several Lakers games where he was sitting out for rest, whether it was that they already had a playoff spot locked up or he had a lingering injury and wasn't playing every game. This is really not a big deal.

LeBrons behavior on the bench was disgraceful ...

I mean i gett it's your night off but 1) why is he in warmups

And 2) what's with all of the laughing joking around about esp knowing people paid to watch you play and you didn't

As good as he may be at ball I just can't be a fan of this type of bytchassness

What the hell are you talking about? It was his last season in the league

MJ never sat out games period, so that decision worked out pretty well for him lmao

He sat out 5 years, period. Additionally his body fell apart as the season went on and so did the Wizards, so it worked out terribly.

Whether it's a factory worker or an NBA player, if its what gives you a living... you should take pride in your job. Part of that is being grateful to the fans who make their lifestyle reality in the first place.

I don't care if your Jesus Christ himself, if your hired to do a job you do it. It wouldn't kill these guys to go out there and give 15-20 even on days where they're 'extremely tired'.

This may be one of the dumbest posts ive ever seen. It's the organization thats benching the players. If players benched themselves they void their contract.

I could see players being upset if the NBA came up with a rule forcing them to play.

On the games they planned on sitting out, I could see them purposely doin' shyt like dribbling like a 6 yr old, looking down at the ball and double dribbling or shooting like a 6 yr old by bringing the ball all the way behind their head with both hands and shooting it, while making "uhh" noises, and celebrating "I hit the rim.....YAAAYYYYY":gladbron:

Here is why it's unrealistic:

Someone would have to answer why your best player was available but couldn't play in the close minutes of a game you lost and then you'd have fans crying "I didn't pay $500 to see LeBron on the bench in crunch time." On top of that, teams would need the active roster spots to use the other players normally inactive.
Yeah that's the other part people aren't thinking about. They think seeing the guy go out there and go through the motions for 1 1/2 quarters would satisfy them but it wouldn't. Then the complaint would be why didn't they go all out in a game that means so much to certain fans but so little to the teams involved. They will question why did the rest day have to come on the big game?

Teams have always rested players but usually at the end when playoffs were locked up and no one questioned it. These teams are simply being proactive and taking that rest time during the middle rather than at the end.

Baseball teams roll out tank lineups all the time and no one mentions it. Guys like Buster Posey and Mike Trout will be healthy as a horse but won't go out and swing the bat a few times.

Look at the all star game. They showed up. They just didn't play hard and now fans want reform to the game so they'll play hard again.

The NBA needs to work on scheduling. They have teams traveling on back to backs. Playing 4 games some weeks.

What do you expect?

the nba has had the same schedule for over 20 years now. If it was good enough for magic, larry, kareem, mj, clyde, dr j, scott wedman, barkley, o neal, kobe, etc.. then it should be good now
