Brooklyn keeps on taking it.
It's likely why NY hip-hop is so grimey and lacks the fun of California. Imagine how pissed off you'd be riding that nasty ass subway everyday, no wonder those motherfukkers favour some Jeru the Damaja type of music :dead:

That makes no sense cause you La folks get stuck in traffic for hours dealing with smog air.

Lol the subways aren’t even that dirty and are much more reliable than using a car.

It's showtime!

No matter what NYC themed forum I go on people don't like those showtime dudes.:mjlol: Yet whenever I'm on a train where they do their routine the reaction is always mostly positive:patrice:

Me personally, I'm indifferent to them:yeshrug: I'd rather they break dance on train poles for money rather than be in the streets :ld:

I’ve never heard this before from a Jersey person. I assume most Jersey heads like working in Manhattan because that’s where they will probably end up working if they get a career!

My career can be pretty location independent. Most stuff can be done virtually as a financial planner business services consultant.

Virtual meetings, portals, screen sharing make being in a physical location obsolete outside of maybe the first meeting

I alternate. Certain days depending on what i have to do after work, i drive. momdukes got a parking spot in her building complex, so i just pull up. And then i just take the train couple stops to work.

But i need to use the train more. That fukkin traffic on the fdr is getting to me. shyt starts at the 145 exit and doesnt end sometimes until after 96 st. I be like damn.

The train be a bytch most times. Dumb crowded. People fighting over seats. Always some sick muthafukka, light switch problems, suicide, etc.

City is a mess

O ride public transportation in my city a lot so I think I could handle it aside from the crowdedness. Y'alls damn fares are complex too.

If I remember right I got off the train and got on the bus and the driver told me my ticket was only for trains :what: luckily he was cool but wtf is that? :dahell:

Tickets down here include bus AND trains, it's just a matter of what time length you want it.
AM pass :hula:
midday :hula:
PM pass :hula:
Day pass :hula:
Week pass :hula:
shyt a whole month pass

I live in Houston and wish we had good public transit. I used to have to drive 25 mins every day battling crazy ass Houston drivers on highways.
Would rather sit on the train and browse my phone.

Drive and park where?

I actually prefer to take the train to work even though I can drive. It is the only time I actually get any reading done.
