Do yall remember that movie The Village, let's say you're in a similar situation, you're inside a community isolated from the rest of the world, and basically only a few know that even exists something outside it.
It could be like:

Would you like to be one of those who know about the truth or those who don't?

Real stories like this have happened..there was a man and lady who fled to the mountains in Russia cuz of the war and had a family..the kids didn't know that outside society existed..another case recently is they found some guy in Vietnam in the jungle..he had a son..
