Saying you're African does not mean you're black...it just means you're from...wait for it...Africa.
Saying they're Japanese is simply saying they're from...again, wait for it....Japan. There are no "Japanese" genes, or "African" genes or "French" genes, or "African American" genes. If you have dominant genes, you black. If you have recessive, you white. All that other stuff was made up down the road.
As you can see from this image of a Punnett Square, the dominant gene is supreme. Meaning that black people are by far the majority worldwide.
