In a real life street fightin scenario this guy has you in a choke hold,is there any way to get out?

Even the baddest of the bad are left limp in UFC/MMA matches after submission holds (however the ref is there to save them) if you were in a fight to the death with this guy and he already has u in a choke hold...


is there any hope for ur life at that moment?

@Mowgli How would BJJ help someone get out of a tightly locked choke hold with the intent to kill? Faint Kicks and punches won't do much at that point.


I think it would be time to just accept death at that moment in time

Tightly locked in choke means you're already being choked so there is no way out. You're gonna die.

This is like asking how you dodge a bullet that's already left the barrel aimed at your head from point blank ranges

Let someone lock a choke in on you and then tell them to squeeze.as you begin your escaoe. You're going to tap within 2 seconds. It's not like the movies where someone can cut off blood to your brain and close your windpipe and you can fight through it.

When a choke is locked in tight you are already a dead man.

grab at the wrist pull down and try to maké space so you can tuck your chin but again these are techniques for someone attempting to lock in a choke.

If it's locked and if it's tight and you havnt taken the proper precautions to neutralize it's effectiveness before it was locked in and tight.

Play and conserve the little oxygen you have

when he lets up his hold a little just to check on you, double eye gouge ASAP...if you don't get the eyes...anything on the face will force a visceral reaction for him to swat your hands away.. stomp the feet as well for good measure and a heel kick to the shin.

It's not always about reversing the hold sometimes doing enough to get the person to not think about the hold can get you out.
