A lot of rappers are carried by production, from 2Chainz, to Ross, to Future. A lot of whack dudes get by, by being laced with hot beats that help make up for their mediocre rapping.
Look, I like Curren$y's stuff as much as the next man, but let's be fukking real here.
What is special about Curren$y in terms of rapping? His mic presence? flow? Voice? Nothing really. The beats are what makes Curren$y's music listenable.
Spitta's been a dope rapper compared to most of these dudes around nowadays. It's just a plus that he has great beat selection.

Dudes Discography is too thorough. I don't listen to Future. 2Chainz is entertaining from all the verses I've heard of him. He's isn't a great rapper, but dude stands out and is entertaining. Ross is very good at what he does. It's not an accident that certain guys have staying power, and others don't.
You can't put out as much material as Curren$y and be so cosistently good and be carried by beats alone. That's flash in the pan type artist shyt. Dude knows how to craft songs and make good music, bottom line.
I do understand that he's not for everyone, nor is he best rapper in any 1 category, but when he makes music it all comes together. Alot of talented rappers are given great beats and aint able to do shyt song/music wise with them. Artistry isn't luck my friend.
