I see some people arguing about how much of a draw rollins is and how there are no true stars on the roster..

I dont think its the talent..its the company.

Its the way they force feed promos..the last second writing of episodes..the lack of foresight in booking..the wack storylines..the pg nature of the product and that the E is a publicly traded company

It has eroded viewership and them losing on two bigger than wrestling issues (hogan coming back (which i still havent bothered to watch a clip of) and dealing with saudi arabia while claiming to lead a womens evolution) has made matters worse.

Its really not the talent that is killing viewership. Its not about rollins not being a draw. Its about the company not being as much of a draw as it used to be. They constantly fail to make anything seem meaningful and that results in the whole roster being lumped together.

Its on the company to improve the way they do business, not on the talent to make treasure out of trash

They booked him like shyt then too. He was losing every week it seemed. At the time he blew out his knee, I think he’d lost some 70% of his matches he’d wrestled since winning the title. They gave him a jbl title run. Nobody can look good or draw when they’re booked to lose matches against their own henchmen. They take obvious home run angles and ruin them all the time. The only thing this company consistently does is flagrantly sabotage everyone while pushing people nobody wants at the same time.

If you look at the year 2018 in total, Rollins was the most popular wrestler on the roster. It was worth a try and he earned this face run. There wasn’t any better options.

So, I read up on last night's show, and I'd argue that it wasn't Rollins's fault.

They capped off a convoluted special ref storyline with brining essentially female Baron Corbin to be the guest ref. Then on top of that, if her reffing is as bad as her wrestling apparently is, she was probably not garbage at that too. There's no reason anyone would care about that shyt.

And that's a microcosm of WWE. Almost no one has an actual discernible character, and they're all involved in shytty storylines that set up nearly endless rematches of matches people didn't care for in the first place.

WWE has a great roster, but they just don't have anything useful for any of them to do.

That's 18 years of steady, consistently declining ratings, which means every single top guy in that time is also a "failed" draw who lost the audience.
