anyone else do this?

first we had to get a big bolt cutter from home depot. then there would be 5 of us huddled around the arcade pretending to play but it was just a cover for one of my friends to use the bolt cutter and cut the padlock where you insert quarters. in highschool 98-2000 the wide leg jncos were in style and we all wore those to block the view.

once the lock was cut..... we open the machine where all the quarters dropped into the bucket and start grabbing handfuls of quarters and stuffing them in our pockets.

biggest grab was from cruisn usa.....had 1100 worth of quarters in our pockets :gladbron: split that with 5 people and it would be 200 each....pretty good for a bunch of no job having teens back then

we used to do it in cici's pizza during slow hours....and grocery stores like sack n save. we did this a lot. sometimes it would just be 100 bucks....sometimes 500

we bought rolling up quarters machine too lol so we can have them in $10 quarter rolls
we went to banks and exchange rolls of quarters for cash.

i did. i worked at Astroworld (six flags) and i was responsible for the arcade. i actually had the KEY. and the games took dollars as well. so whenever someone had issues with a game taking it's coins, i'd swoop in, open the front where the coin/dollar slot, give the gamer like 10 credits, take 1/3 of the dollars out of the machine, and close it back up. i did this all day everyday for the whole summer. made like $6k. i didn't cash any of my checks....:russ:
