Probably the most truthful, relevant to this or any era and dare I say, best album of 96. I know that year had crazy albums, but this album (along w/ UGK's "Ridin Dirty", Outkast "ATLiens", IWW) get the most burn from me.

And Top 5 Dilla beats of all time and creme de la creme of the album

Dope album.

Did Dilla rhyme on the track Stakes is High?

I've never been able to figure out if it's him or Trugoy doing the verse that starts with 'I say G's are making figures at a high regard and nikkas dying for it nowadays ain't odd'

De La Soul have got to be the most well-adjusted and normal individuals in Hip Hop. You never hear anything crazy or negative about them...just great music.

easily the best album, and one of the best perfect albums in rap history as well.

Indeed. Was riding the train home and put it on and was just as blown away with as I was the day I swindled Columbia House into sending it to me for a penny. Joint is perfect for any type of environment. Like Mobb albums are quintessential winter albums, this shyt is about as pure uncut as it gets. Ill part is it's not dated in its sound or content either. Like the title track is still relevant to this day. Lets you know how prophetic it was
