In retrospect Drake really hid and tucked tail from Kendrick with that “playlist” More Life

There was enough on there for Drake to stand by it and push it as a follow up album from Views but he had no faith in the project. He had no competitive drive or confidence to drop an album around the same time Kendrick was coming out. Instead he hid behind the idea of a “playlist” and dikkride some British artist. Premiered it on apple ovo radio and got all the fukk out the way for Kendrick to dominate. He clearly wanted no smoke. DAMN was the biggest album of 2017 but it would’ve been nice to see these two go for the crown but Drake threw in the towel.

I guess it was that fear.

Drake is by far a bigger artist and I think Kendrick makes way better albums. I was at CIAA a few weeks ago and yeah i heard alot of Drake not hardly a kendrick.

No, he only was p*ssy for having his team pull off that video he did at espn saying that he was better than Kendrick only to have it pulled from airing hours later.

Kendrick has him shook. I see why hes particular with his interviews he’s extremely emotional.

Don’t compare Kendrick to drake

Drake gets compared with the Michael Jackson’s, jay z, and Beatles of the world.

Compare Kendrick with his actual peers. Cole, big Sean, papoose.

Who sold the most? I guess that it was close?

This is only thing I found from wikioedia
As of April 2018, Damn had sold 1,002,000 copies and earned 3,137,000 album-equivalent units in the US.[92]

By the end of 2017, More Life had accumulated 2,227,000 album-equivalent units in the United States, with 363,000 being pure sales.[59]

Add reviews and awards and it's a no brainer.
