I'd say he's the most influential R&B artist post 2000.

He's obviously not R Kelly, but in his approach to production (thanks to Tricky Stewart) and song structure, THE DREAM definitely has a very respectable catalog (if not underappreciated) that has influenced how a lot of people have made R&B music since he came out.

What do you think?

influential? :usure:

not even in the least bit:mjlol:

the dream? "who dat?" the dude who had a knack for tryin' to jack prince's "falsetto" voice (pun intended :lolbron:) only with a low budget 90's r&b production approach and couldn't sing a lick outside of the studio?:dwillhuh:

with all that said, can't front on both these songs. they were aiiiight for what it was :yeshrug:

(they wouldn't stand a chance against any classic, great and or even good r&b in the 90's though) :mjpls:

Usher? The only record I like from that brother in the last 10 yrs was Here I stand. The Dream was able to find his place in a genre that has been suffering. Artist like Jaheim, Musiq Soulchild, Anthony Hamilton and Eric Benet have contributed more to the genre in the last 10 yrs than the Dream. He doesn't represent the true essence of R&B. I rather listen to artist like Anthony David than the Dream.
