the thing is, like 80 or 90% of the new mainstream rappers really aren't that popular and really not worth ranking. the lesser-known rappers get the most love these days.

it feels weird like the early '90s, but the difference is the lack of both quality & sales in the current era. arguing about wiz, big sean, j.cole, Kendrick, and a lot of these other names is like arguing over little figurine versions of hammer, vanilla ice, marky mark & young mc.

only dudes mentioned in this thread whose popularity is worth ranking is meek millz, wack ass 2chainz, and i'll play nice and add drake and Kendrick in a lower-tier.

ASAP had a bigger single tho, I don't know. ASAP seems to just be there, I don't hear people really talk about him or bump his shyt the same way I hear people discuss meek. They're pretty much on the same level to me

fastforward 2yrs its 2013... waynes irrelevant.. and drakes had 5 flopped singles... NONE have reached the levels of sucess his singles on TC/TML achieved....
