I'll always believe this but the "hood" has acted as a guardian angel or barrier for Hip Hop against cacs. Its the reason they still haven't fully absorbed Hip Hop CULTURALLY like they did Rock. They tried many times but failed. Its a reason why White rapper NOT named Eminem or Beastie Boys are barely taken seriously and even still those two contributed very LITTLE to Hip Hop culturally.
