In the Grand Scheme of Hip Hop should Andre 3000 be in the top 5 or 10

His contributions as one half of the undisputable legendary group Outkast - a Top 5 hip-hop group no questions asked, and understandable based on preference if you have them #1 - cannot be overstated.
But 3000 by himself, as a solo artist or his solo half of the outkast joint (The Love Below) is probably the most overrated and overhyped rapper of all time. IMO he's not creative, he's just weird. I would take Big Boi 100/100 times over 3000. The flute shyt was the final straw for me to ever be interested in him again.

Like the folks above me say, Top 5 group or duo? Maybe even 1? Sure.
Hell, he's prolly the hip hop artist we've seen grow and change the most from where he started to who he is now.
But Top 5 or 10 solo artist, even from a group? Nah, not in my opinion.
I still feel to this day that he only gets lumped in because MTV and VH1 needed a spot to fill in the late 90s, and folks been running with it ever since.

I always thought it was because they needed a spot from the south which if that’s the case I would put Scarface and Wayne above him in terms of solo acts.
