Idol worship as described in the bible is still alive and well today as it was then. What does this say about our modern culture? Does this validate the bible? does this validate the premise in the bible of good vs evil, truth vs lie? What can we consider as reality with spiritual concepts dominating the global scene?

It says that our modern culture is fashioned after occult ideologies that are inherently anti-christ and ungodly.
absolutely! well that was easy. What about this, how can someone who is non religious see the preponderance of spiritual wickedness, EXACTLY as its portrayed in ancient biblical interpretation and NOT believe in any god or spirituality in general?

maybe because its just that the "spiritual wickedness" is just bad? if someone doesnt believe in any god or spirituality as u said then theyre just going to see it as bad or morally corrupt rather than proof of the validity of scripture written thousands of years ago. other people who are not religious have written about moral decay and there is evidence of exactly what they are saying...should their writing be seen as equivalent to the bible for those who believe in any god or spirituality?

not sure if you watched the video or not, but the video doesn go into moral decay at all, it goes into idolatry specifically. Now one can assert that idolatry and moral decay go hand in hand, but the point is that the connection to what is considered immoral is not made here. Only idolatry as a tool for worship. The point is that if the bible got idolatry right, that people would worship stone monuments as gods, even in this the technological era, what does that say about the validity of the bible? did the author of the bible know human mindset so well that two thousand years after its creation, the EXACT worship would still overwhelmingly be in effect at the highest and lowest levels of society? or is this evidence of a spiritual force that requires idolatry, also as the bible predicted?

it doesnt necessarily mean anything. some books get things right, some books get things wrong...some have a bit of both. i dont see how an accurate prediction of idolatry can validate all of biblical scripture. plus..idolatry is very very general..would the bible be "invalid" to you if there wasnt any idolatry anymore?

lol this is my point. Evidence isn't enough for most people. Why this is, is a mystery to me. actually its not a mystery it is also an element of the spiritual wickedness discussed.

to address your point, why would we discuss a hypothetical world where idolatry doesn't exist? Idolatry isn't just one 'thing' that the bible got right, its a theme the bible got right. And with that theme, as you proposed, comes moral degradation. So based on your own standard idolatry and moral degradation are uniquely intertwined here in the world, just as predicted. To denounce this as coincidence is disregarding evidence for Inspiration.

im not saying its coincidence or not im saying that it shouldnt be considered evidence of biblical validity. i never said i didnt believe in a god or wasnt spiritual..evidence is fine but i dont think this is any real evidence of anything other than sound knowledge of psychology/sociology and importance of materials that humans typically have by the authors of the bible.

dont deflect either..if the bible was wrong because there was no idolatry, would u still believe in the bible as divine truth? or would u just be pleased that there isnt any idolatry and that people seem to be living more righteously?

you mentioned importance of materials, well what is important here is the immaterial. this is evidence of immaterial, lol ironic isn't it? and we don have to go into supposition when there is evidence for the contrary. We can suppose any world we want, but the real world is what is being discussed. Of course I can perceive your spiritual affinity(or lack thereof) by the way you ask and answer questions. What you are asking me to do is to imagine a world without idolatry, and that isn't evidence for anything. This is ironic too because psychologically what does it mean that you are willing to imagine a world instead of dealing with the one you have?
