I don't think anyone was expecting Battlefront 2 to do very well, seeing as how the first one was recieved.

they were probably hoping releasing it near the movie release would Skyrocket sales.

The original flopped on PC, was deemed unplayable because of the level design. They brought it back, it didn't do all that well. You a star wars fanboy? They exist, and they gotta be counted then discounted if you want to properly guage if this is a popular game

Blame the loot boxes all you want, if I wanted that game I would have gotten it. They fixed the loot box thing before launch so what is the excuse now???

4.4 million this game has 0 shot of hitting 15 million

I said it would hit 12-15 million

the buzz for the game is dead already it might not even hit 8 million let alone 12-15

Thought NPD counts all sales for consoles. I think you are confusing Digital sales for PC platform, which it does not count..

It's something that's been in the works for five years, and the NPD Group has struck agreements with a number of publishers to track their digital data. Those include Activision, Capcom, Deep Silver, Electronic Arts, Square Enix, Take-Two Interactive and Warner Bros. Interactive. You'll notice some pretty big gaps there: Bethesda, Microsoft, Nintendo and Sony. NPD spokesperson Liam Callahan said that if the group waited for everyone to come on board, that the tracking wouldn't have ever launched. "If we waited to have every publisher in the world to sign up it would take forever," he told GamesIndustry.biz.

In addition digital full-game purchases, add-on packs and micro-transactions will be tracked as well, but those sales numbers won't be divulged to the press or public. And instead of separating the digital sales numbers from physical sales, they'll instead be combined -- much like the company doesn't break down game sales by system. Games that come from publishers who aren't disclosing digital sales data will be denoted as such.

People were excited for this one too. The early previews sounded promising and seemed like it fixed a lot of the first game's flaws. Then it came out and the pay-to-win stuff got exposed and the push back was incredible. EA killed this.

I'm glad gamers finally took a stand.

NPD does count digital for certain publishers and platforms. If you click on the tweet though, she specifically says these are U.S. physical sales only
