So I gotta let the water run tonight
We got a heavy cold warning

But do ya'll do that everywhere?
Any places where you never ever do that?

Ya I never did that in NY or CHI or TX
But I moved to Canada a few years back
And since I moved here they always tell me to let my water run or the water will freeze in the pipes and it costs many thousands of dollars to fix it if it freezes

You can't insulate them? (I'm in california so I have no idea what I'm talking about)

Definitely used to have to do that at my crib in PA, but only in the kitchen because there was no insulation under the cabinets/behind the wall. I was in Goodwill a few years back and found these electric pipe warmers, though, so I didn't have to leave the water running anymore after that.

Lived in NYC most of my life and never did that nor knew anyone that did. Live in Miami. I did hear of people doing this in some states so apparently pipes don’t freeze.
